Advanced Photo, Inc. was established in 1992 by Al Pereira. Al has over 26 years of knowledge in the business, beginning as a freelance photographer working for weekly newspapers and later as a stringer for United Press International. He covered spot news, pro sports, politics and much more. He also did wedding photography in his spare time. In 1984, he was hired by the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune. As a staff photographer, he covered the same types of things. He was also responsible for developing and processing black and white and developing E-6 film for the next day's printing. He did studio photography as well. It was during these years that Al had a desire to run his own photography business, treating people fairly and offering quality work at reasonable prices.

From day one, the staff pressed for quality. The over the counter one on one service with our customers made us what we are today. Our customers came to us not because we were the only choice because we were not. They came because of our knowledge about the photo industry. When a customer would bring in their film and it did not come out, we would talk to them individually and help them to take better pictures. If a customer has a particular problem using a camera, we try to teach them. Our customers also come to us because of our one hour service, our knowledge of photography, cameras, frames, enlargements, and much more.
We have a complete digital imaging service, accepting images from your digital camera or your memory card and also CD/DVD's. We now have a brand new service. Without leaving your home you can now email us your digital pictures from your computer. We can print from wallet size up to 11x14 prints using Kodak paper just like film. If you need larger than 11x14 prints we have the newest printers from Epson like the new Epson 4000 printer or the Epson 9500 Inkjet Printer Printing up to 44 inches wide. If you like to print your own digital prints we now offer a do it yourself service using the newest self serve printer, where you sit and print yourself. We offer portrait services in our New 10.000 S.F. studio located in Lawrence (On the North Andover Line), including senior, modeling, pet photos, children, and entire families. We also do corporation photography like head and shoulder photos for news papers or realtors and web sites using a digital camera.
